its not new to christian rock bands to inspire the flock with mainstream music, the mixture of gospel laid songs be this verbatim or in spirit coupled with mainstream genre untypical of the churchly(is there such a word??) set.ive already listened to switchfoots other songs, still im a jars of clay fan. although they cant be compared. both excel in inspiring us with carefully written songs.Dare you to move, talks about not giving up on your life or on a situation.a heat struck line would be this

really reflective on the type of hope or devotion that we need to be worthy of faith.

awe struck by this line.. i must admit there are moments(current and previous) where in you do become indecisive. 

i still love jars of clays five candles. its a different theme. its a song of praise and thanks.this however discusses through its music the realizations of struggle. that we must never give up. as connected to my previous post(lord of the rings).we are called to be always faithful, not victorious. for in life there is never a certainty of success.

As much as im amazed by the twisted genius of tolkein, it really displays a very Christian form of Hope, Mercy and such.

realization of the Good beyond the bounds of the world. Their devotion
to their quest does not depend upon any sort of certainty concerning
its success. They are called to be faithful rather than victorious.
Often the fellowship finds its profoundest hope when the prospects seem
bleakest.

this hope manifests well within tolkeins vast universe, adversity strenghtens the faith of the fellowship.

Christian Mercy is well manifested. this act is in Frodo towards Gollum and as well as Gandalfs philosophy on forgiveness.

"Many that live deserve death. And some that die deserve
life. Can you give it to them? Then do not be too eager to deal out
death in judgement. For even the very wise cannot see all ends."

For Tolkien the Christian. by contrast, love
understood as mercy and pity is essential: "You have heard that it was
said, ‘You shall love your neighbor and hate your enemy’ But I say to
you, Love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you. . . . For
if you love those who love you, what reward have you?" (Matt.
5:43-44,46).

Even on Sarumans Controverstial Trial, Gandalfs imparted wisdom has been inherited by Frodo, in which he deals Saruman with mercy.

"No, Sam!" said Frodo, "Do not kill him even now. For
he has not hurt me, And in any case I do not wish him to be slain in
this evil mood. He was great once, of a noble kind that we should not
dare to raise our hands against. He is fallen, and his cure is beyond

Tolkien captures the transcendent, even divine quality
of real love by having it issue in a pity and pardon utterly unknown
either to the warrior cultures of the ancient world or to our own
equally merciless culture of competition.

I just heard the classic Version of A Song For You. heart warming, with a sad mellow feel to it. its classic i must say, i think the original artist is Donny Hathaway. a forgotten talent.. the songs really good. just some key lines i guess, i cant sing the whole barnicled song.. hehe.. notice its no longer damn.. oops.. no damn word.. oops… sorry..

the week has been ok, correction its been great. midtermz is over, for me at least. and im onward looking on an upcoming competition, which i just want to have fun, no aims, no goals to achieve.. just plain debate for fun.

hmm.. what else… oh yes.. my life’s changing.. im beginning to care for someone.. someone who found me when i was down. someone who never seems to forget, my studies, my religion(pray daw ako everynight).. hehe.. oh, i wish i could now, but i think its still a bit too early.. but im convinced…..
